Cadimage Point Clouds Beta is a FREE addon which will allow you to import an XYZ format pointcloud into your ArchiCAD Model.
                    Pointclouds are files containing an array (or 'cloud') of points which describe a physical object or building.
                    Usually created by a laser scanner, these files, once processed and displayed, allow you to view an accurate representation of a 'real-world' object inside the 3-Dimensional space of your modelling software.
                    This is great for modelling existing buildings, as you can easily compare your Modelled structure to the real thing.
                    The Cadimage Point Clouds tool is still experimental at this stage, as we're not 100% sure what the best way is to work with Pointclouds in ArchiCAD. We've made something that works, and will successfully import a model, but the direction it takes from now on is up to you.

虛擬與現實快要結合在一起了。
不過如何應用還不知道，如果能將現場實測簡化成電腦模型，
舊屋更新設計、室內設計測會就輕鬆了。

还没玩过三维扫描仪，不过目前为主好像还没听过有可以扫描建筑这种体量的，数据采集量太大，也不是一般机器能处理的，现在更多的可能应用还是实体模型和计算机模型的结合
